Warren has more than 15 years of experience in IT project management, delivered across IT infrastructure, corporate retail, petroleum manufacturing, printing, financial services, IT, telecoms and media. His career began at Telkom as a data technician in 1992, progressing through senior network engineer, network team leader and communications specialist roles for several well-known national and multi-national corporates, with experience gained locally and across Africa.
In 2010 he launched his business, Myburcom Consulting, to provide IT communications, project management and, more recently, software development services to clients. He has since worked in contract positions and served as an independent contractor, leading multidisciplinary and multinational technical teams, managing complex infrastructure projects, and consistently delivering outcomes that meet business objectives and client expectations.
Organised, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments, with strengths in stakeholder engagement, team leadership, planning, problem-solving and maintaining delivery focus under pressure.
Started coding in C++ for microcontroller and electronics projects 2.5 years ago, and has since built practical, hands-on experience delivering production software using AI-assisted development across the full software development lifecycle.
