Warren has a strong telecoms and IT infrastructure background and project management skills, gained over the course of his career since starting at Telkom as a data technician in 1992.

Since then, he has filled the roles of senior network engineer, network team leader and communications specialist for several well-known national and multi-national corporates. During this time, he also gained experience working locally, as well as in Africa.

In 2010 he launched his business, Myburcom Consulting, to provide IT communications and project management services to clients. He has since worked in contract positions and served as an independent contractor, managing IT infrastructure and other projects, implementing IT systems and providing support. His clients/employers included Paracon/Astron Energy (Previously Chevron South Africa), Caltex Oil South Africa, Novus Holdings (Paarl Media Group), Dimension Data Western Cape, MRS Holdings, Woolworths, Truworths and Topics.
